Establish residency through an investment.
Qatar offers residency linked to investment. The best known route is property. Ownership of real estate from QAR 730,000 in designated zones qualifies the owner and the family for a residence permit. From QAR 3.65 million, permanent residency becomes available. The Ministry of Interior approves these permits.
The thresholds are set by law and change from time to time. The conditions cover the value of the property, its location and the time the owner spends in Qatar. Residency can end if the property is sold. Not every investor qualifies for the route expected, and an application that misses a condition costs time.
